SPLat MMi99, from SPLat Controls , is an Australian designed and manufactured programmable controller targeted at OEM embedded control applications.
It features eight digital inputs, eight 400mA digital outputs, two analog inputs and two analog outputs.
The analog inputs can directly measure temperatures with a low cost thermistor, or be used in conventional voltage or current modes. There is also an onboard operator interface with five push buttons, seven indicator LEDs, a beeper and optional LCD.
The SPLat MMi99 is suitable for a wide range of machines and systems such as industrial parts cleaners, milk-chilling systems, pump control and diesel control. A flexible expansion scheme allows special function modules to be added at low cost.
Like all SPLat controllers the MMi99 is programmed in an easily learned proprietary language that is tailored to control applications.
The SPLat language has a repertoire of more than 160 instructions, yet useful applications can be programmed using only six of those instructions.
For sophisticated users the controller features a stack-oriented architecture, floating point arithmetic, indexed addressing and user-accessible non-volatile data memory.
The SPLat MMi99 is available in bulk for OEM use, and is also supplied as developer's kits. The developer kit comes complete with an LCD, a mounting panel and a polyester graphics overlay.
It also includes a CD with programming software, an interactive training course and a comprehensive SPLat Knowledge Base.
