SMI Pacifica has released a machine that brings the benefits of inline, shelf-ready carton packing to small products such as toiletries and pharmaceuticals.
Using the same wraparound technology as larger systems the machine forms the carton board through a gap in the conveyor line without lifting or dropping the product.
The wrapping action is non-stop, ensuring smooth, gentle product handling, high speed and reliability. A wide range of fibre or fluted boards are accepted by the machine, which can be quickly programmed for different products, allowing product changes in minutes.
The pack shown features a thumb-start zip perforation to instantly create a shelf display.
