THE SMC Series VDW valves from SMC Pneumatics are lightweight, ultra compact, direct-operated 2 or 3 port solenoid valves suitable for water, air and low vacuum.
The VDW21 2 port model weighs 100g and the VDW250 3 port weighs 120g. Both offer high flow rates with a Cv factor ranging from 0.03 to 0.44.
Applications for the valves include water and air test sampling under laboratory conditions and dental water flow switching.
Valve bodies are constructed of brass and stainless steel with provision for a mounting bracket at the base of each unit. Increased durability has been achieved through the use of a unique magnetic core.
The core materials reduce the friction between the moving parts while improving the wear and corrosion resistance and extending service life. The Series has an operating lifecycle of up to 20 million cycles.
