FOR regulating flow with high precision in sensitive environments, SMC Pneumatics has released the new SRP precision clean regulator.

Manufactured primarily from SUS316 stainless steel, the SRP is suitable for use in food and beverage preparation, pharmaceuticals, electronics, cosmetics or any other environment where contamination must be avoided.

To ensure cleanliness it is built and operated without oil and all components are cleaned, assembled, inspected and sealed in double packaging in a Class 10,000 environment.

According to SMC, the main feature of the SRP is its high precision, low flow consumption, having a bleed volume of just 0.5l/min or less with a downstream pressure of 0.2MPa.

The SRP is Rc1/8 female ported and comes with a choice of two operating pressures. It has a proof pressure of 1.5MPa, a maximum primary (inlet) pressure of 1MPa and a maximum secondary (outlet) pressure of either 0.2 or 0.4MPa depending on individual requirements.

Mountable with either a panel or bracket, the SRP includes a pressure setting lock down mechanism to ensure its settings cannot be inadvertently altered.

Suitable for use with air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and argon, the SRP incorporates fluororubber seals which offer resistance to high temperatures and chemical attack. SMC Pneumatics 02 9354 8222.
