AS part of SMC Pneumatics' focus on energy saving products, the company has added the KN series air nozzles to its Australian range.
Available in different types including high-flow, low noise, self-aligning and extension nozzles, all KN models can be mounted on standard air guns or designated cleaning tools.
The new nozzles are designed to produce the same air collision pressure as air guns used without nozzles, but require only a fraction of the supply pressure. SMC claims the new range results in a 50-75% reduction in air consumption and associated costs for the end user.
KN nozzles are ideal where air is used for cleaning and removing swarf, dust and moisture.
However, whereas air guns used without a nozzle have air output fixed in one position, KN nozzles give users control over the direction of air flow so the air can be adjusted to suit the specific needs of individual applications.
Ranging in diameter from 1mm to 8mm, the energy-saving nozzles are compatible with nylon, soft nylon, flexible copper and OST pipe ranging from 4mm to 20mm in diameter.
Suitable for use with operating pressures of up to 1MPa, the nozzles can work in ambient and fluid temperatures of -5°C to 60°C without freezing.
