SMC Pneumatics has introduced a compact, ergonomically-designed blow gun with air nozzle it claims can save up to 90 per cent air consumption compared to competitive models.
A patented operating valve enables less than one per cent pressure loss, ensuring effective use of air in cleaning and cooling applications. These efficiencies also result in reductions in energy costs.
The VMG Series blow gun can be used for cleaning swarf, dirt, debris or other foreign matter from equipment and products in general manufacturing, automotive and machine tooling applications. The gun can also be used for cooling machinery, components and surfaces.
The lightweight but robust plastic-bodied gun is ergonomically designed to suit the hand for comfort and ease of operation. Trigger pressure remains constant at low or full pressure to minimise operator strain.
The unit features an easy-grip, non-slip handle and is available in white or blue body colours with a choice of either top or bottom piping to suit the location of the air supply.
To ensure the gun's suitability in a wide range of applications, nozzle options include:
· Standard high force.
· Low-noise design.
· One-touch fittings.
· Extension nozzles (copper - can be bent for directional usage).
· High flow.
Pressure-sensing probes with ‘one-touch’ fittings are also available for use with PPA hand-held manometers to check nozzle (collision) pressure or for leak detection.
The Series KN nozzles have apertures are from 1mm to 8mm depending on the model and are connected using either standard male or self-align designs.
