SMC Pneumatics has added 25mm-bore CQMB compact guided cylinder to its CQM range. It has a non-rotating accuracy of ±0.1° and is available in stroke lengths from 5mm to 50mm.
The range already includes six models ranging in bore size from 12mm to 50mm. All models in the range include a guide rod as standard, increasing the cylinders’ ability to withstand impact loads and giving them more than three times the lateral load resistance of unguided cylinders.
Loads can be mounted directly onto the unit with the standard through-hole arrangement. Because the CQM has the same sectional area as the CQ cylinder it also has the same mounting dimensions. This is useful for users of the CQ series who need the advantages of a guide system in a compact package.
It has a minimum operating pressure of 0.1MPa and a maximum operating pressure of 1MPa. The double-acting, single-rod cylinder has a piston speed between 50mm/s and 500mm/s and can operate in ambient and fluid temperatures from -10°C to 70°C without freezing.
Rubber bumper cushioning at both ends is a standard feature and auto-switches are available for positional feedback if required. The weight of the cylinders ranges from 125g to 288g depending on the stroke length.
