SKF Australia unveil energy efficient bearings saving 30% energy consumption
SKF Australia have introduced new bearings that are energy efficient, saving 30% of the energy consumption. SKF Australia have developed the bearings to reduce energy consumption by at least 30% as compared to standard ISO products. The new SKF bearing range includes the SKF deep groove ball bearings and SKF tapered roller bearings.
SKF Australia have plans to apply this new technology across all bearing types including spherical roller bearings, CARB toroidal roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and angular contact ball bearings.
As a result of optimised geometries, lubrication, cages and manufacturing techniques, the bearings exhibit significantly less friction torque or friction loss, than conventional bearings. These bearings deliver energy savings to applications such as transmissions in heavy industrial, ship, railway, wind energy, conveyors and extruders.
