Supplier News

Siderval SpA  offer special hot extrusion bars. Each product goes through rigorous in-house and international quality specifications to meet the high standards set by international markets.

The special hot extrusion bars at Siderval SpA are made to certain specifications. The structural profiles include a T profile in standard stainless steel and bar lengths ranging from 4 to 7 metres. There are equal Angle L profiles in standard stainless steel profiles with bar lengths ranging from 4 to 7 metres.

Special hot extrusion bars are available in the Z profile, U profile and H profile in standard stainless steel and with bar lengths ranging from 4 to 7 metres. Siderval SpA also produce Seamless Fin Tubes, Hexagonal Profiles, Omega Tubes and Double Omega Tubes.

The hot extrusion process applied in the production of the bars at Siderval SpA mainly comprises five steps. They are: preparation, cutting, heating, extrusion and finishing. Solid round bars are peeled to remove imperfections on the surface. The bars are then cut into the required extruded length and lengths based on profile weight per foot.

The bars are then passed through induction furnaces and controlled atmosphere heating takes place, to a required temperature. Extrusion takes place in a horizontal hydraulic press and finally, the bars go through the process of straightening, punch straightening and detwisting to ensure dimensional accuracy.
