The ‘touchteach’ system does away the sensitivity adjustment seal where moisture can enter the device. The ‘touchteach’ feature allows the teach operation to occur through the solid stainless steel housing of the device.
The LED indicators are situated behind the clear plastic connector housing and this eliminates another potential point for moisture to enter the sensor.

The cleaning friendly IP68 and IP69K sensor housing is constructed of V4A 316L stainless steel and highly resistant plastic which is certified by the FDA. The connection contacts are gold-plated and this reduces the risk of corrosion.
