The new DT20 Hi distance sensor from SICK offers device versions for four measurement ranges up to 1,000 mm, high accuracy for precise measurement tasks, and reliability even with glossy object surfaces.
The device is used for quality inspections in the millimetre range, as well as for the detection of small parts.
The DT20 Hi is a distance sensor with a red-light laser diode in Protective Class 2. The series offers four device versions – all in IP65-protected metal housings – for measurement ranges of 50 - 150 mm, 100 - 300 mm, 100 - 600 mm and 100 - 1,000 mm.
Whereby the DT20 Hi achieves a resolution finer than 1 mm, even at the longest measurement distance.
The diode’s light spot on the object, e.g. at a distance of 600 mm, is only about 3 mm large.
This, and the short response time of under 15 ms, permits the DT20 Hi to reliably detect small and rapid objects – even with highly reflective surfaces – thanks to CMOS technology.
Versatile during configuration and data output
The DT20 Hi can be flexibly configured and easily commissioned thanks to its display and intuitive menu guidance.
Connection of the device takes place via a 5-pin M12 plug. One 4 - 20 mA analogue output is always available for data output and there is a switching output (optionally NPN or PNP).
