Rapid selection, rapid installation and rapid use are offered with the new V180-2 series of photoelectric switches in easy-installation M18 cylindrical housings available from Sick .

The V180-2 cylindrical photoelectric switches have been designed for price-sensitive applications and the series offers an impressive price/performance ratio. A reflex variant, through-beam system and three scanner versions, offer ideal availability, maximum functional reserves and economical solutions for universal conditions of use, for example, warehousing and handling systems, or packaging machines.

The V180-2 series of cylindrical photoelectric switches is positioned in the market as a trouble-free, reasonably priced solution for object detection. The range of types concentrates on the key aspects and enables fast and application-oriented selection of the suitable sensor.

  • Decisions concerning the three scanner versions are based upon the required range: 100 mm, 400 mm or 800 mm.
  • The photoelectric reflex switch features a polarisation filter that provides top results in all environmental conditions at a range of 4 m.
  • With its range of 20 m, the through-beam photoelectric switch offers a solution for long object distances.
  • In particular, Dynamic processes in which objects must be detected at high speeds, profit from the short response times of all V180-2 cylindrical photoelectric switches.
In addition to the dependable object detection of the V180-2 series of cylindrical photoelectric switches, all devices meet the additional automation requirements of many users.

Due to the M18 design, the V180-2 series of cylindrical photoelectric switches are rapidly installed and are easily aligned with the assistance of the red transmission LED. Additionally, with two LEDs and a 360° display, the V180-2 series of cylindrical photoelectric switches offer optimal visualisation of operating states.
