A SHORTENED shape, but retained high switching distances and frequencies - Sick’s new IM 08, IM 12 and IH 06 inductive proximity sensors meet the demands of handling systems, machine tools and other plants.
The housing of the IM 08 is only 35mm long and offers a switching distance of 2 or 4mm and a switching frequency of 3 or 2.5kHz. Thus metallic objects or switching flags can be reliably detected, even in the smallest space.
The IM 12 is also accommodated in a robust brass housing. Compared with standard designs, the dimensions can be made up to 30 per cent smaller depending on the connection version.
It is still only 40mm in the cable version. Depending on whether the switch is installed flush or non-flush it offers switching distances of 4 or 8mm.
The IH 06 is the right choice wherever housings made of stainless steel are advisable or essential. The dimensions and switching behaviour are the same as for the IM 08.
All three "shorties" have industry-relevant features such as an enclosure rating of IP67, an LED on the housing for showing the switching state, selectable PNP or NPN output, cable or plug connection, and the mounting of supporting accessories.
