SICK offers a range of industrial sensors and laser measurement equipment specifically for logistics applications. SICK's scanners help terminal operators to reduce the probability of collisions between cranes, vehicles and goods.

Indispensable for the positioning of cranes or containers
These sensors, scanners and laser measurement systems help:
  • Position a truck below a ship-to-shore crane
  • Read ladder-type barcodes on packages
  • Provide collision protection in the working area of a crane jib on a ship-to-shore crane
SICK's scanners help terminal operators to considerably reduce the probability of collisions between cranes, vehicles and goods. SICK products have also become indispensable for the positioning of cranes or containers.

HGVs transport temporarily stored containers from stacks to ship to shore cranes. Laser Measurement Systems determine the position of the HGV below the crane.
