As a result of bus technology, technical safety advantages such as lower wiring costs, bi-directional communication between the field and control levels, or high transfer rates also become accessible.
Whether the diagnosis of individual sensors, automatic downloading of sensor configurations and parameters during initial commissioning, the state of the 16 active and passive inputs for safety sensors, or auto-reconfiguration during running operation of the plant when servicing is necessary - all safety-relevant data from the various components can be transferred via UE 1000 components in bus systems.
