The NDIR analyser SIDOR is used for differential measurement of the CO2 and O2 concentrations. For adjustment only ambient air is required. That brings advantages: saving expensive test gases and increasing maintenance intervals by up to half a year and more. The DEFOR is used for measuring NO and NO2 concentrations.
Based on the UV resonance adsorption spectroscopy it allows very selective NO/NO2 measurements. And a further advantage: no NO2 converter is needed. That means faster and easier measurement. The elaborate evaluation algorithm of the DEFOR also makes it safe against interferences. Both analysers are installed in a MKAS analysis system with gas conditioning. Since this analysis system is installed outdoors, the cabinet is equipped with an air conditioner.
The ideal operation conditions of the plant can be determined via exact measurement of the relevant gas components. Due to their high specificity, the gas analysers SIDOR and DEFOR made by Sick provide reliable measuring values which can hardly be interfered by other gas components. A genuine representation of the current state of the plant is therefore obtained at all times.
