Why not cover a wide range from very low to high dust concentrations? The Dusthunter C200 dust monitors by Sick does exactly this with two measuring principles in one single measuring device: Transmission principle for high dust concentrations and scattered light for low dust concentrations.
The Dusthunter C200 dust monitors compensate a distortion of the channel caused by different temperatures thanks to its unique automatic self-alignment. A contamination of the optical surfaces is controlled by measuring and compensating contamination in the sender /receiver unit as well as with the reflector. By this combination of automatic self-alignment and contamination compensation the device’s measurement data can always be relied on. The consequence is a long maintenance interval of six-months and hence low cost of ownership.
The handling is also especially easy. The dust monitors can be integrated into existing data systems for control and data measurement and uses the same software as all Sick devices.
