SICK has released the DT 60 and the DL 60 reflector version analogue distance sensors. They offer time-of-flight measurement, background suppression, long measurement ranges, and an intelligent type key.
Analogue distance sensors are used in storage and conveyor technology for determining distances to automated guided vehicles or to conveyor units on suspension conveyors. Other uses include monitoring storage space occupancy and filling levels in hoppers. The DT 60 is used for tasks with measurement ranges of between 200mm and 5300mm. The DL 60 reflector version is suitable for distances of up to 24m.
The DT 60 and DL 60 allow users to directly define plug and play versions. This is made possible by the intelligent type key in the device order number. The 4mA - 20mA analogue output can be linked to an individually defined measurement range. This provides the user with a device that is ready for immediate use. The user can also re-order the identical device, even after many years, because the parameters are included in the type number of the device. The DT 60 and the DL 60 are also available as teach-in versions for those who would prefer to set their own parameters rather than use plug and play installation.
