THE DGS 60 from SICK |STEGMANN is an incremental encoder with up to 10,000 impulses per rotation.
The rotative sensors are used for determining the speed and angle of rotation. A variety of shaft diameters, flange designs, supply voltages, and interfaces allows the solution of numerous tasks.
The DGS 60 is available in more than 50 different resolutions from 100 to 10,000 impulses per rotation. Measurement of the angle and speed of rotation takes place on the counting principle.
Light intensity adjustment compensates for ageing, temperature and contamination effects on the line disk and thus ensures high reliability - as do the two signals displaced by 90° and the reference mark.
The measured values are formed by summation of the impulses in a separate counter or control system.
The DGS 60 offers a wide variety of configuration possibilities. In addition to the line number, the user can choose between, among other things, shaft diameters of 6mm or 10mm, servo or clamping flanges, as well as the interfaces TTL/RS422 4-6V, TTL/RS22 10-30V, and HTL/push-pull 10-30V power supply.
The robust aluminium die-cast housings with an external diameter of 60mm are designed with an enclosure rating of IP67 and allow use of the DGS 60 under harsh operating conditions.
