Mecmesin’s newly introduced food texture analyser, FTA 2.5 Xt is available in Australia through SI Instruments .
Based on the Mecmesin MultiTest 2.5 Xt, the 2.5 kN test centre for tension and compression, the FTA 2.5 Xt is a new range of food texture analysers controlled by a Windows 7 Tablet PC that is directly connected to the testing centre to control the machine and capture the data.
The FTA 2.5 Xt can be pre-programmed for routine food texture testing, allowing the selection of up to five of these tests as ‘favourites’. This function enables operators to load their tests with a single press of the button to make the instrument ready for testing.
The FTA 2.5 Xt food texture analyser allows in-depth and advanced routines to be programmed while the analysing part of the software enables in-depth analysis of food texture properties such as chewiness, firmness, hardness and softness of food products.
Special probes and fixtures such as the Kramer shear cell, dough and gluten test cell as well as a variety of accessories are available for the testing of all types of food products.
