SEW-Eurodrive has announced upcoming dates for the company’s new DriveAcademy training program. Based on the same in-depth technical training syllabus used to educate SEW-Eurodrive’s own engineers, DriveAcademy provides end-users and system integrators with a comprehensive set of skills required to get the most out of motor and drive technologies and applications. The seminars will focus on the application of SEW-Eurodrive’s technology, from both an in-depth engineering and maintenance perspective.
The DriveAcademy training program will cover a range of topics from project planning for non-controlled and controlled drives and VSDs, to product-specified classes for the MOVIDRIVE ‘B’ application inverter, MOVI-PLC PLC/motion controller and the MOVITRAC frequency inverter families, and decentralised drives. All DriveAcademy seminars will be run by technical site-experienced staff, and conducted at SEW-Eurodrive’s Service Competence Centres located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
SEW’s DriveAcademy training program has been specifically designed to offer attendees both theoretical and practical training. “In our experience, the combination of theory and hands-on practical segments simplifies the learning experience,” said SEW-Eurodrive Technical Training Manager, Michael Kropp. “Standard courses are offered in small class sizes to ensure participants receive a high level of personal attention. Equipping attendees with specific knowledge relating to motor and drive technologies means they are better able to leverage this functionality in their own work environment.”
The DriveAcademy training program is also available for private on-site sessions at company premises anywhere in Australia, and can be tailored to suit the requirements of individual workplaces.
