AUSTRALIA's most complete motor control electronics selection will be exhibited by global drive solutions group SEW-Eurodrive at this year's Manufacturing Technology InFocus exhibition in Melbourne.
Featuring a range of electronic frequency inverters, servo drive systems, decentralised drive systems, and drive/motion PLC technologies, the SEW-Eurodrive electronics range provides a seamless 'continuum of control' for Australian industrialists, manufacturers and OEMs.
SEW-Eurodrive engineering manager Frank Cerra said SEW’s motor control electronic range had evolved dramatically over the past six months, with some “very exciting” additions.
"The standout feature of the SEW-Eurodrive motor control electronics offering is its completeness. The range spans from easy-to-use low-cost inverters, through to high-end precision servo control systems--and everything in between.
“These are complemented by unique developments, such as decentralised drive technologies and purpose-built PLC/motion control systems. In essence, we have a motor control electronics answer for most Australian applications and budgets."
Central to the SEW-Eurodrive Manufacturing Technology InFocus 2006 exhibit will be the company's recently launched PLC/motion controller series--the innovative MOVI-PLC.
Provided in an expanding range of form-factors and performance classes, MOVI-PLC permits entirely new levels of control system decentralisation, along with seamless connectivity between the drive and PLC.
In addition to its advanced PLC functionality, the MOVI-PLC includes a range of motion software libraries, allowing full drive position control.
MOVITRAC LT family
SEW-Eurodrive will unveil the complete MOVITRAC LT family of general-purpose frequency inverters at Manufacturing Technology InFocus 2006.
Providing a combination of inverter price, performance and range, the MOVITRAC LT family is designed to support simple 'every day' variable speed applications spanning powers from 0.37 to 160kW.
The MOVITRAC LT family includes an IP55 enclosure-rated suite for field mounting in hosedown/washdown areas, and units that offer infrared wireless connectivity via pocket PC. Simple and easy to set-up, the MOVITRAC LT family provides unrivalled functionality at a competitive price point.
The SEW-Eurodrive motor control electronics exhibit will also include the company's renowned MOVIDRIVE 'B' application inverter. Comprising seven sizes in all, the MOVIDRIVE 'B' family supports powers from 0.55kW through to 132 kW, and offers a broad range of drive control modes via its on-board multi-mode controller card.
These modes range from basic asynchronous motor in V/F operating mode, through to precise dynamic control of permanent magnet servo motors in CFC flux vector operating mode.
Slim and compact, the MOVIDRIVE 'B' supports connectivity to a wide selection of industrial fieldbus systems, and comes complete with a comprehensive library of pre-configured motion control software modules.
Rounding out the SEW-Eurodrive 'electronic continuum' showcase will be its DOP series human-machine interfaces (HMI), and the company's 'MOVI-SWITCH' motor/starter and 'MOVIMOT' motor/drive hybrid electronic solutions for decentralised control architectures.
