Leading motor and drive solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific, SEW-EURODRIVE is showcasing its extensive range of heavy duty drive technologies at the AIMEX 2011 in September.
The Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) scheduled to be held in Sydney, NSW later this year offers an opportunity for the company to exhibit elements from its innovative range of gear units, geared motors and complete drive assemblies.
The entire product range is specially designed for heavy duty applications with high-transmitted loads, making them suitable for mining, mineral processing and quarrying processes.
The modularity and high power-density of SEW-EURODRIVE’s industrial gear-unit range make them an effective and versatile solution for the region’s diverse range of mining applications, especially for Australia’s natural resources and heavy engineering industries, says SEW-EURODRIVE Industrial Gears National Product Manager, Ian Tribe.
He adds that the gear units are engineered to deliver robust performance in harsh operating environments, making SEW-EURODRIVE’s motor and drive solutions suitable for all of Australia’s mineral/ore bulk-handling and processing operations.
A highlight of the SEW-EURODRIVE stand at AIMEX 2011 will be the company’s Australian-assembled X-Series gear-units. The X-Series is ideally suited to applications ranging from conveyor systems and ball mills to agitators, and the range is offered in a choice of 15 sizes with torque ratings ranging from 58 to 475 kNm.
The X-Series’ smaller companion, the MC Compact Series will also be on show at the AIMEX 2011 exhibition. Featuring options such as an extended bearing distance (EBD) and reinforced output, SEW-EURODRIVE’s MC Compact Series is available in seven sizes rated from 6 to 48kNm.
Tribe comments that the EBD version is ideal for mixing, agitating, and thickener applications in the mining and minerals processing industry.
SEW-EURODRIVE will also display their complete drive assemblies for heavy industry. Comprising of a gear unit, motor, drive base and guardings, all components are closely matched to deliver maximum performance and efficiency.
Tribe stressed that one of the greatest benefits of the SEW-EURODRIVE industrial gear range is availability since their industrial gears are assembled in Australia, allowing the company to supply their customers within weeks.
SEW-EURODRIVE will be exhibiting at AIMEX 2011 on Stand 1311 at the Sydney Showgrounds from 6 September to 9 September 2011.
