A NEW family of locally-assembled servo motors, the three-phase permanent-magnet CM servo series, will be unveiled by SEW-Eurodrive at National Manufacturing Week 2005.

Offering a torque ratings range of 5-68 Nm (which may be extended to 95 Nm with an optional forced cooling fan), the CM series comes in three frame sizes, with speed ratings of 3000 and 4500 rpm.

Pre-terminated plug connector-type cables are provided for power and brake supply and servo connections.

A resolver-type position encoder is standard, or the motors can be fitted with a precision “Hiperface” absolute encoder (single or multi-turn). A selection of high-performance electro-mechanical brakes are available.

SEW-Eurodrive will exhibit a selection of geared and brake motors, industrial gears and electronically controlled drives at NMW.

Centre stage will be a demonstration of SEW-Eurodrive’s high-performance linear servo motors, which provide high-precision control for linear speeds up to six metres per second.

Other products to be exhibited include BSF and PSF servo gear units, the Movitrac LT frequency inverter, Movidrive “B” application inverter, DOP series human-machine interfaces (HMI), and 7 Series geared motors.
