DRIVE engineering specialist SEW-Eurodrive this year celebrates the 75th anniversary of its founding in Bruchsal, Germany, in 1931.
Today, the designer and developer of mechanical power transmission systems and motor control electronics is present in more than 60 countries, including six offices in Australia (with assembly facilities in Melbourne and Sydney).
SEW-Eurodrive sees its success has having derived, in part, from its pioneering modular system for geared motors, launched over 40 years ago. This allowed customised (but large-scale) production from a manageable number of standardised components.
In Australia, the company will be celebrating its own milestone next year: 25 years of service to Australian industry.
