SEW-Eurodrive will unveil its complete MOVITRAC LT family of general-purpose frequency inverters at the 2006 Manufacturing Technology InFocus exhibition in Melbourne next month.
Coupled with the company's geared motor range, the MOVITRAC LT family offers Australian industry a powerful and affordable end-to-end drive solution.
A feature of the exhibit will be the most-recent addition to the MOVITRAC LT family: the all-new MOVITRAC LTP series, which extends the family's reach up to 160kW and features a high-speed infra-red interface for wireless commissioning and parameterisation.
SEW-Eurodrive product manager Darren Klonowski said the complete MOVITRAC LT family was an important new arrival for Australian manufacturers and machine OEMs.
“No other drive at this price-point can boast the features of the MOVITRAC LT.” MOVITRAC LT is also the natural complement to SEW-Eurodrive's highly regarded geared motor range.
"The MOVITRAC LT/geared motor duo provides unrivalled performance and value-for-money. Together, they represent Australia's most complete--and cost-efficient--electromechanical drive solutions,” he said.
The MOVITRAC LT family provides a combination of inverter price, performance and range. Designed to support simple 'everyday' variable speed drive applications, this general-purpose inverter family spans a power range of 0.37kW to 160kW, and accommodates input powers of both 230V single-phase and 415V three-phase.
Founded on the latest-generation power modules and an innovative 'bookshelf' design, the MOVITRAC LT family is one of the most compact drive families in its class.
Fast and easy to set up, the MOVITRAC LT features 14 standard configuration parameters that streamline commissioning. This, coupled with the drive's easy mechanical and electrical installation, ensures basic drive applications can be 'up and running' in minutes.
The MOVITRAC LT family comprises three groups: the economy MOVITRAC LTE series (0.37 to 4kW); the MOVITRAC LTE IP55 series (0.37 to 4kW), which is designed for field-mounting in areas susceptible to low-pressure water, dust and dirt; plus the new general-purpose MOVITRAC LTP series (0.37 to 160kW).
The MOVITRAC LTP series offers users three means of access for drive configuration, monitoring, and control: an in-built keypad, an onboard RS485 port for PC access, and the infra-red optical link for wireless connectivity to a pocket PC.
SEW-Eurodrive's configuration and monitoring software--SEW-LTP Shell--is also available at no extra cost.
The MOVITRAC LTP has an integrated communications port for networking to other drives and controllers, provides full torque at zero speed without encoder, and supports 150 percent overload for up to 60 seconds.
All MOVITRAC LT family members are C-tick compliant, and are rated to 50 degrees Celsius ambient temperature.
