GLOBAL drives solutions provider SEW-Eurodrive will present BULKEX 2006 visitors with a display of end-to-end drives solutions tailored for the bulk handling sector.
SEW-Eurodrive's so-called 'packaged drives' solution provides complete in-house engineered drives solutions for the conveyors, feeders and transfer blowers that are essential to the Australian grain, mineral, powders and particulate handling sectors.
"The Australian bulk materials handling area is a particularly exciting industry sector for SEW-Eurodrive, and one we've enjoyed supporting in recent years," said SEW-Eurodrive managing director Robert Merola.
"While the excellence the company has achieved in each individual product sector plays a vital role, it is the end-to-end and tailored nature of our solutions that has proven most important. This is the essence of the 'packaged drives' we'll be displaying at BULKEX 2006 - - a powerful combination of premium components, Australian system engineering design and support, and seamless integration."
Merola emphasised that the nationwide engineering expertise and '24 by 7' technical support offered by SEW-Eurodrive are the essential elements in the company's packaged drives offering.
"Our local engineering expertise and support is what makes packaged drives happen," Merola said. "These too will be on display at BULKEX 2006. We invite visitors to come and meet with our application engineers and discuss the solutions we can offer."
The latest addition to the company's MOVITRAC range of frequency inverters is the MOVITRAC LTP. Extremely compact and economical it ideally compliments the packaged drive solution set suited to variable-speed applications such as fans, pumps, conveyors, mixers and feeders, extending to powers up to 160kW.
MOVITRAC LTP is feature packed but at the same time extremely simple to use. Most applications can be commissioned by the "basic" parameter set while extra functionality can be implemented through additional parameters. All parameters can be accessed through an integrated keypad or wirelessly via an integrated infra-red communication port.
The SEW-Eurodrive Industrial Gear units will form a central part of the BULKEX 2006 exhibit. Designed to provide extremely compact and versatile solutions for transmitting loads up to 1200kNm of driving torque, the range comprises five distinct gear unit series: the MC Compact, M and CN series helical and bevel helical gear units, and the high-torque and power P and Q series planetary gear units.
High-efficiency induction motors will also share the spotlight, with the company's new DTE/DVE series cast-copper rotor motors.
BULKEX 2006 Bulk Materials Handling Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from September 25-27.
