Consulting engineer, SEMF Holdings , is now well placed to provide manufacturers and the industrial processing sector with a fully integrated site solution with the appointment of machine design specialist, Walter Martin, to the company’s industrial engineering division.
Walter Martin was formerly a machine designer for Fisher & Paykel Production Machinery in Auckland where he worked as part of an extensive engineering team providing design and construct solutions to global white goods manufacturers.
Walter Martin later moved to Melbourne to work for the Australian and New Zealand distributers of Fanuc Articulated Robots and Mazak Machine Tools as a design engineer, later moving into operations management.
Several years ago Walter Martin established a design and project management consultancy, specialising in production line development and construction for original equipment manufacturers and manufacturers.
His appointment to SEMF Holdings means that the consulting engineer not only provides complete engineering design packages for all types of industrial processes, but also offers special-purpose machinery design in-house – a service typically outsourced by consultancies.
