AUSTRALIAN packaging company DSL Drum Services is building an $8 million dollar manufacturing plant in Laverton, Victoria, that will be the first in Australia to produce blow-moulded intermediate bulk containers (IBCs).
Under a licence agreement with global IBC market leader Schutz, DSL Drum Services will manufacture the Schutz Ecobulks, designed for efficient packaging, maximum safety and environmentally friendly multi-trip transport of liquid goods.
The Schutz units are 1,000 litre composite blow-moulded IBC's, suitable for the chemicals market, with UN approval rating for Dangerous Goods Packaging Groups II and III.
They are offered with a range of outlet valves to ensure safe and precise discharge of various viscosities.
By manufacturing the units in Australia DSL is able to market the product at 50 per cent less than the cost of a current imported model.
DSL Drum Services operates nationally from Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
