DSL Packaging’s stand 366 will feature the Schutz range of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) at Auspack 2005. The units measure approximately 1m3 and are comprised of a high density polyethylene blow-moulded inner bottle, surrounded by a steel cage which is mounted on either a metal, plastic or wooden pallet for easy handling.

They are designed for the packaging of liquid products, including food, and are UN-approved for many dangerous goods. One IBC holds the equivalent of five 200L steel drums, but in the space of four, making them a highly efficient packaging option. They are reusable and come with an environmentally-friendly global collection system.

A new security-layer technology has also been added, consisting of a security inner layer which provides protection against permeation. This means that oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases can neither enter nor escape, making the units suitable for a range of food and beverage products.
