SCAFFTAG will exhibit two innovative solutions at this year's Sydney Safety Show - the Black Book for enhanced forklift inspection management, and Safetrak - a specialised computerised equipment management system.

The Safetrak system uses RFID (radio frequency identification) technology and easy-to-use software to record equipment inspections. Data can then be downloaded onto a computer for instant access to full report details.

The paperless system is fully traceable and cost effective, and the range of specially developed software modules for different applications, along with customisation service, means Safetrak can be customised for specific requirements.

Demonstrations will take place regularly on the Scafftag Stand.

The Black Book is an inspection management system that complements Forkliftag, which itself is a status tagging system to help control pre-use inspections, maintenance and identification of forklift trucks.

The Forkliftag insert contains an easy-to-follow checklist to be completed daily by the first user or at the start of each shift dependent upon how the site operates.

The Black Book contains step-by-step guidance on safety and maintenance requirements, inspection record sheets (in duplicate for inspector and client), fault report sheets, forklift truck registers, and guidelines on complying with legislation and how to conduct a risk assessment, in one convenient binder.

Visitors to Stand M4 will also receive the offer of free safety management posters designed as quick reference guides for safe practice in the workplace.

The Safety Show is from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th October 2006, at the Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park.
