SBA Amalgamated will highlight its electrical contact refurbishing and remanufacturing capabilities on Stand 3125 during AIMEX 2007 – Asia Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, to be held at Sydney’s Olympic Park from September 4 to 7, 2007.
The company believes that contacts leave its manufacturing facilities in as good a condition as original, if not better. The capabilities are diverse, with materials such as gold, silver, platinum, tin, silver cad oxide, copper tungsten and silver tungsten handled.
SBA Amalgamated is proficient in stamping, casting, hot forging, machining, cold heading and custom brazing; and can supply hard-to-get springs. It can work from the contacts only, or from a complete contactor, replacing or refurbishing all contacts, checking spring tensions and replacing springs where necessary, and checking contact alignment after reassembly so that the returned unit is ready for service.
The company prides itself in its quality and fast turnaround. It believes that in many instances a contactor does not need replacing, as often only the contacts are burnt, and these can readily be repaired and returned to service.
