Russell Fraser Sales has facilitated the first CSWIP accredited ACFM (Alternating Current Field Measurement) Inspection Training Courses to be held in Australia.

Level  1 and Level  2 ACFM Operator Training was held in Sydney in December. The tutor who delivered the course was Alan Raine from TWI, the world’s largest training organisation in welding inspection and non-destructive testing.

Alternating Current Field Measurement is an electromagnetic technique used in the detection and sizing of surface breaking discontinuities. This technique is used on conductive materials which are coated with conductive or non-conductive coatings with surface temperatures up to 400º C.

ACFM testing demands higher levels of experience than most other surface flaw detection methods. It can only be done by well trained and highly skilled technicians.

Having seen the demand for Alternating Current Field Measurement inspections, Russell Fraser Sales supplied sets to customers here in Australia as well as in NZ. Those completing this training will be equipped to successfully carry out inspections.
