Runge Pincock Minarco (RPM) has launched a new ecommerce gateway giving their customers instant online access to a selection of their popular software applications and training products.
RPM’s new online store directly addresses the needs of a global client base that can now access various products, regardless of their physical location. The store provides demonstration and support material and an easy and intuitive purchasing option available 24/7.
According to Michael Baldwin, CMO at RPM, the new online store gives customers immediate access to some of their most popular software products online, allowing them to purchase them and get up and running with the software in their own time.
RPM’s new ecommerce initiative also helps to drive down costs for their customers in terms of going through the product and service procurement process. The online store is seen as just another way RPM is using technology to deliver value to their customers.
Smartminer, RPM’s online training platform has also been added to the ecommerce platform. The ‘Introduction to Mining’ course offered via the Smartminer program is targeted at those who are new to the mining industry or looking to build an understanding of mining terminology and operations.
In addition to being employed by many large corporations to upskill their new employees, the program is also widely used by accounting, finance and other service providers to the mining industry to help their people learn to speak the language of mining.
The ecommerce facility joins a host of other initiatives that RPM is rolling out to improve customer communication and experience. The company’s website has recently been translated into three new languages – Spanish, Russian and Portuguese – and RPM’s Customer Portal is also undergoing redevelopment to provide a new dimension to RPM’s service desk.
