WEARALLOY 450 is heat-treated, quenched and tempered alloy steel plate.
Available from Roylance’s , Wearalloy plates provides a cost effective solution to abrasion and impact applications in the mining, construction and process industries where shock and abrasion are the primary cause of failure.
Wearalloy 450 provides excellent resistance to impact and sliding abrasion.
Wearalloy 450 can be machined or drilled with high speed carbide tools at low speeds. As the hardness level of the plate increases, it is necessary to decrease the cutting speed and feed depth.
For welding Wearalloy plate, it is recommend that low hydrogen electrodes be used for best results.
If shearing and punching, flame cutting is recommended on plate like Wearalloy 450.
Wearalloy can be cold formed in a press brake or rolls. At sharper bends, forming should be performed with the axis of bend at right angles to the rolling direction.
Standard sheet sizes include:
* 6mm - 1530x6100
* 8mm-50mm - 2485x4000
* 75mm - 1900x6300.
Applications include: loader bucket liners, dragline bucket liners, skid plates, bucket lips, scraper liners, hopper liners, truck tray liners, rock box liners, crusher liners, jaw crusher cheek, plates, screen decks, chute liners, mill transfer liners and asphalt plant ductwork.
