Lifetime Assest Management for Actuated Valves

In addition to the supply of valve actuators for new projects, site service and maintenance, upgrading and retrofitting have always been important parts of Rotork’s business in Australia.

In recent years these activities have grown to the point where they now warrant a separate identity within the Rotork Group.

Lifetime Asset Management
The Rotork Site Services Division has therefore been established and is dedicated to provide lifetime asset management for Rotork products and those from other manufacturers, relieving site owners from these tasks and enabling them to focus on their core business activities.

Working out of Rotork’s established facilities in Ballarat, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, Rotork Site Services offers nationwide coverage for a comprehensive list of services ranging from health checks on existing plant to one stop shop extended scope plant automation programmes.

Within this framework, an extensive permutation of specific activities is available. For example, some customers require guaranteed emergency response times, others require a planned response for all types of actuator work including:
  • Installation, Commissioning, Upgrading
  • Connection and Installation of Bus Communication Systems
  • Troubleshooting and Repair of Damaged or Deteriorating Assets
Actuated Valves
Actuator overhauls can be carried out as an alternative to equipment renewal, preventive maintenance performed to maximise plant uptime and shutdown outages supported to ensure that customers make the most of their plant shutdown time.

New actuators can be retrofitted to existing valves on site, alternatively new valves can be actuated and tested in Rotork workshops and installed on site as complete units.

Lee Howard, Rotork Australia’s General Manager, is enthusiastic about the company’s increased service capabilities. He explains: “Site Services provides services in the areas of maintenance, management and the upgrading of installed actuation assets in order to fully support and satisfy the increasing demands for these activities from our customers in ways that are tailored to meet their specific needs.”
