Tesa Switzerland has recently launched the innovative Tesa Visio 300 vision measuring system. The measurement range is 300 mm x 200 mm x 150 mm (X/Y/Z). The Visio is available in a manual or automated version with either PC-DMIS or Tesa-Vista software.
The manual machine version has a coordinate stage fitted with a quick release system in both the X and Y axes.
This system enables fast system positioning for locating the geometric features to be measured. Disengageable wheel drives are used for quick motion in the Z-axis as well as fine setting and focussing of the system.
On the automated DCC version, the coordinate stages along with the vertical axis are displaced by means of DC servomotors and are user controlled via a joystick.
Mainly used for automatic and recurrent workpiece inspections, Tesa-Visio DCC significantly reduces the need for manual operations.
Based on the part programme the operator has created, the system is then able to perform a full dimensional inspection of the workpiece automatically.
The DCC model is also available with a touch probe option to assist the user with added measurement functionality.
Tesa Visio 300’s all aluminium construction provides high structural rigidity and stability suitable for any high precision dimensional inspection.
The coordinate stage features prestressed carriages mounted on ultra-precise monorails to ensure years of reliability and stability. The machines can be used in both workshop and measurement laboratory environments.
The swan neck shaped structure supporting the Z-axis ensures that the guiding system can be mounted as close as possible to the optics. This system is totally counterbalanced.
There are linear encoders mounted on each axis and the encoder resolution (X/Y/Z) is 0.05 micron. Also fitted with a motorised zoom, the base model includes two episcopic light sources (coaxial and ring light illuminations) along with a diascopic light source.
Furthermore, the Tesa Visio 300 comes with a high resolution colour camera. Tesa Visio 300s’ can be supplied with an optional 75 mm or 150 mm column height extension for the inspection of large workpieces.
Tesa Visio 300 vision measuring system is available from Rosebank Engineering.
