TESA, represented in Australia by Rosebank Engineering , has released the Micro-Hite 3D measuring system.
It fills the gap between the conventional precision measuring hand tool and the coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Software provides the functional measurement of a calliper, height gauge and dial indicator as well as CMM capabilities.
The device has a measurement repeatability of 3μ over a measuring volume of 400mm x 450mm x 500mm.
It has a control panel that comes equipped with interactive Tesa Reflex application software. The software provides the functional measurement of a calliper, height gauge and dial indicator (hand tool) as well as coordinate measuring machine (CMM) capabilities.
The Micro-Hite 3D has features that are suited to both workshop and measurement laboratory applications. It is made from materials that have a similar coefficient of expansion, so it can be used in workshops that are not temperature-controlled.
The device can be supplied with a choice of two electronic probes, Tesastar with adjustable trigger force or Tesastar-i.
Tesastar-i uses a touch trigger probe and has indexing capability over 168 positions by increments of 15º. It has a single-handed release operation.
