RONSON Gears recently purchased the company's second Höfler Helix 700 gear grinding machine at the EMO Exhibition in Germany.
Ronson believes this product will assist it in satisfying customers’ increasing gear grinding demands and will further enhance the company's image as a leader in acquired gear machine technology.
Höfler, renowned for its precise gear measuring and gear grinding equipment, has been building machines for over 30 years.
Its equipment is used world wide wherever accurate gear grinding is required, such as mining, wind turbines, rail, shipping, road transport, agriculture, defence and aerospace.
This addition to Ronson's Melbourne plant complements many other commissioned machines over the last twelve months.
Ronson has invested heavily in CNC machines, including a CNC analytical gear measuring machine from Wenzel GearTec, a third automated CNC gear cutting machine from Koepfer and another CNC gear cutting machine capable of cutting up to 900mm diameter from Pfauter.
The Höfler Helix 700 gear grinding machine has all the attributes of its predecessor, with all the latest technological developments in machine building.
It can gear grind up to 700mm in diameter and 350mm face width. It has integrated gear inspection for in-process checking and correction and can grind from 1 to 15 module (2 to 25 DP) pitch, to an achieved accuracy of AGMA 13.
