From inception Romteck has focused on the Fire and Emergency Services area to provide distributed city/state wide fire alarm monitoring systems.
These systems relied on the placement of Alarm Transponder Units into protected premises and the connection of these through dedicated lines and multiplexor equipment to the local Fire Service.
Romteck Command/Control hardware and software then despatches response crews and provides upto date status and resource information relating to the incident.
Romteck is now a leading provider of such systems in Australia and are in current use by the Government Fire Services of Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. Romteck systems have also been adopted by the Queensland Emergency Service for its Fire Brigade where more than 6,500 units have been installed.
Currently more than 40,000 units have been installed across Australia.
A range of new generation products have been and are continuing to be designed to ensure Romteck dominance in this market.
These systems, complemented with a graphical software package developed by Romteck called Firemon, now provide cost effective solutions that are employed in site monitoring for such organisations as hospitals, mine sites, army bases, military airbases, defence research facilities, casinos, universities and port operations.
