ROMHELD Australia has announced plans to demonstrate its new intelligent vacuum gripper system at the upcoming Austech exhibition at National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2005 to be held in Melbourne in May.
The UniGripper, when combined with robot systems, provides a flexible, effective and economical materials handling solution that automatically senses the position of products and applies the necessary lifting force.
Utilising a unique, patented valve system the UniGripper is suitable for robotics materials handling applications which use mechanical or manually operated lifting devices across all industry sectors. A key feature of the system is its ablity to handle various products and items with the one gripper.
The UniGripper can handle pallets, crates, boxes, barrels, steel plates and corrugated sheets. Items such as bottles, cans, bricks and glasses can be lifted in singles, trays or full layers with, or without, shrink wrapping.
The system is available as a standard module or can be custom built to suit specific applications. UniGripper is also available with several variants including SideGripper for barrels and heavy boxes; LayerGripper for pallets/layers; and BottleGripper for full and empty bottles.
A full range of accessories such as robot adaptors, sensor units and side-grippers enables UniGripper to handle any vacuum lifting job.
Romheld Australia distributes UniGripper products, along with a complete range of robot grippers and end-of-arm tooling, throughout Australia and New Zealand.
