ROMHELD Australia has released the Schunk LMG-64 stainless steel gripper for applications where fresh food products are to be handled automatically, such as in processing and packing lines.
It is suitable for processing meat and a variety of fresh food products. It can be fitted to robots, handling systems and other automated equipment. The pneumatically operated LMG-64 provides high gripping forces from a two-finger angular gripper. It has a built-in grip force safety device that ensures the gripper does not open if air supply is lost. Its fully sealed mechanics are IP67 certified and easy to clean. The lubricants are food standard compliant.
The gripper’s open/closed position can be monitored via optional magnetic proximity switches. Gripping fingers can be custom designed to suit the product being handled. The LMG-64 is maintenance free to 1.5 million cycles and can be cleaned using a wash down hose.
The SG-47 small stacking gripper also incorporates hygienic design features for food packing applications.
