Romheld represents technology-leading manufacturers from around the world and will again use Austech 2006 to showcase a comprehensive selection of precision work-holding and tooling equipment.
On display will be all types of clamps and components used in the construction of powered and manual work-holding fixtures, along with new release vices, chucks and other productivity enhancing machine tooling and accessories.
Several new work-holding products will be launched including the Matrix range of 'plug and play' hydraulic clamps from Roemheld of Germany. The Matrix system consists of a series of hydraulic clamps, each with an integrated work support and quick connect coupling.
Work supports can be either fixed type, or hydraulically operated with built-in sequence valve to control the clamping cycle.
Matrix can be supplied as swing clamps, hand-slide clamps and side clamps, all of which can be mounted directly to the machine table t-slots or onto a sub-plate making it a simple and flexible solution for every machine shop.
Users can select from several standard kits which include the clamp modules, pump, hose fittings and couplings; or alternatively they can purchase individual elements to build their own system.
Machine vices will be featured including a complete new line-up from German specialist Hilma which includes the new "EuroLine" for the cost conscious; and compact vices for efficient 5-sided machining from Technigrip.
Clamping systems utilising magnetic set-up blocks (A-Pods) from Alpha Workholding, low profile/high density chucks from Leader Chucks and one-touch manual clamps from Imao offer unique solutions for milling and machining centre operations.
Popular, low cost work-holding solutions from OK-Vise and WPR System will provide simple, yet reliable and economical clamping and locating solutions for many parts.
For CNC lathes there will be the newly released Kitagawa compatible power chucks from Schunk in Germany and new chucking developments from Hainbuch will also be on show. Romheld will also promote the new "bestseller range" of chuck jaws which are now stocked locally and manufactured by Schunk, the world's largest supplier of chuck jaws.
For the first time at Austech, visitors will be able to view a selection of angle heads, VDI live and VDI static tooling from Heimatec of Germany. The Heimatec range includes the HT quick change system which enables one tool to handle several different machining tasks.
And the launch of a new range of Swiss made centres and face-drivers from Rotor Tool adds another dimension to the Romheld offering which also includes universal, heat shrink and hydraulic toolholders from Schunk, plus the well established Integi range of knurling tools.
Promotions will include special price offers for Schunk's Sino-T range of universal toolholders.
The entire Romheld display is geared towards customers looking to tool-up their CNCs.
