Romheld Australia distributes Heimatec products

CNC lathe owners and operators can now select from a huge standardized range of precision yet very economical VDI static toolholders by German manufacturer Heimatec GmbH. 

The Heimatec range of VDI toolholders are suitable for use on all CNC lathes in accordance with DIN 69880 and cover sizes from VDI-16 through to VDI-60. These toolholders are available in many sizes and configurations with both left and right hand versions which allows selection of the most suitable holder for the job. 

Turning tool holders accommodate square/rectangular tool shanks and come in long, short, axial, radial, overhead and multi-purpose types. The boring bar holders, offered with internal or combined coolant supply are supported by a complete range of reducing sleeves, and come in cylindrical seat and side lock versions. 

Collet chucks all have internal coolant supply with output sizes ranging from ER-16 to ER-40 into which can be fitted both standard and tapping collets (with compensation) in all diameters. Short drilling chucks for diameters 0.5 to 16.0 mm are also in the line-up, with optional internal coolant. 

The range is further extended to cover parting-off tools, bar pullers, test mandrels, plugs, setting holders and end stops ensuring that customers can source all their CNC lathe toolholder requirements from the one supplier.

In addition to these static toolholders, Heimatec also manufactures a complete range of live (driven) VDI tools along with angle heads (with optional ‘quick-change’ system) for machining centres and multi-function machines.
