Roland DG Australia announces that their DWX-50 and DWX-4 dental milling machines now allow milling of composite resin materials. Roland DG Corporation is a leading worldwide provider of dental CAD/CAM technologies.
Roland DG offers optional milling burs for their DWX Series milling machines to support composite resin materials including VITA ENAMIC and 3M ESPE Lava Ultimate CAD/CAM restorative pin-type blocks.
Takuro Hosome, sales manager for Roland DG Corporation explains that dental labs prefer to work with composite resins for their superior aesthetic appearance and strength. The new milling burs will now allow users of the DWX-50 and DWX-4 machines to optimise the use of these composite materials.
The new milling burs (part numbers ZDB-100D, ZDB-50D and ZDB-30D) have been developed specifically for the DWX-50 and DWX-4 dental milling machines and feature a special coating to maximise durability and precision results.
Roland's DWX-50 and DWX-4 are designed to produce a wide range of dental restorations in-house, eliminating a lab's need to outsource jobs. The open architecture design of DWX mills allows seamless integration into an existing workflow with commercially available dental CAD/CAM software and hardware. In addition to composite resin materials, the DWX series can also mill wax, PMMA and zirconia.
