Rockwell Automation is participating at AOG 2011 to demonstrate its process control as well as critical control and safety solutions to the oil and gas industry.
A world-leading provider of industrial automation and automation control solutions, Rockwell Automation will demonstrate its process control expertise at February’s Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2011 in Perth.
The demonstration will involve an interactive exhibition floor display wherein visitors will have the opportunity to deeply explore its integrated control offering as well as critical control and safety solutions.
Two of the company’s strategic partners, instrumentation specialist, Endress+Hauser and distributor NHP Electrical Engineering Products will also be participating along with Rockwell Automation at the AOG 2011.
Rockwell Automation Regional Business Development Manager – Asia Pacific Corrie van Rensburg says that visitors will be able to test-drive the company’s latest process control solution, PlantPAx.
PlantPAx is a single platform for a unified plant-wide process control system. Featuring a process control core based on the company’s widely adopted Integrated Architecture, PlantPAx provides a scalable portfolio of enhanced process technologies, solutions and services for plant-wide control.
The latest version of the PlantPAx solution will be launched at the AOG 2011.
Rockwell Automation will also be providing control system mock-ups of typical oil and gas control scenarios to demonstrate the functionality and versatility of their process control options, as they are applied across a wide range of oil and gas applications from well-head, refining and production processes through to transportation, metering and storage.
Key features of the PlantPAx solution:
- Built-in DCS and PLC functionality enables the platform to be used for process automation and discrete functions across a range of oil and gas control applications
- Builds on the success of the initial PlantPAx system with new features such as device integration and asset management, design productivity as well as batch and sequencing control
- New focused program will help OEMs and skid builders reduce their overall costs and minimise time-to-market
Rockwell Automation is also showcasing their safety and critical-control solutions at AOG 2011.
According to van Rensburg, these solutions can also be integrated with the Rockwell Automation GuardLogix safety/standard controller and the company’s Logix platform to provide oil and gas companies with ultimate process and safety control flexibility.
