Rockwell Automation’s popular Automation on the Move event is set to return to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney in 2005.
Comprising an exhibition and four streams of learning opportunities, Automation on the Move '05 will provide the a forum for networking and information exchange--a melting pot of ideas, innovation and new technologies.
"Our aim is to work closely with our customers; our mission is to listen, think, and solve," said Chris Chan, marketing manager for Rockwell Automation Australia.
"Automation on the Move is an important vehicle in this strategy. We invite end-users, OEMs and system integrators to come along to explore and discuss the latest developments in automation and information technology."
To be held May 10-11 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, June 8-9 at the Melbourne Park Function Centre, and July 13-14 at Sydney Olympic Park, Automation on the Move '05 is a two-day event with the same program on both days.
The four streams of learning comprise technical seminars, tutorial sessions and hand-on workshops--these will examine automation applications and specific technologies in various levels of detail.
The exhibition component of the event emphasises the importance of partnered solutions in the field of automation and process control by showcasing the latest product developments and technological directions.
"Of special interest," said Chan, "will be expanded displays of intelligent motor control and On-Machine solutions. These two technologies each deliver maximum flexibility and powerful results for industry."
He added that the benefits of On-Machine technology will be demonstrated by an innovative 'smart belt conveyor' display showing a typical application for the packaging industry.
"Automation on the Move '05 will be one step bigger, brighter and better than the events of past years," said Chan. "It's literally a technical and educational expo, specifically focused on the economic, production and maintenance challenges faced by Australian industry today. The opportunity to leverage complementary skills and knowledge is virtually boundless."
