A leading industrial automation group, Rockwell Automation Australia, has appointed Adrian Down as business manager of its plant services department, a role which falls within the company’s customer services and support functions. He joins Rockwell Automation with over 15 years’ experience in marketing and customer support within a technical environment, gained both in Australia and overseas.
Down has worked closely with many of Rockwell Automation’s key Australian clients in the industrial automation and process control arena, including resource operations, manufacturing, primary industry, defence, and food processing. With this background, Down is well positioned to see production issues from the user’s perspective, and the role strategic maintenance plays in managing these challenges.
As business manager for plant services, Down has responsibility for the operations of Rockwell Automation’s Australian remanufacture centre, embracing both asset management and the customer response team.
The remanufacture centre provides a suite of strategic maintenance solutions, tailored to individual requirements says Down. Services such as repair, remanufacture and exchange, assessments, asset management and enhanced warranty programs are critical elements to achieving optimal performance. His team and he would assist businesses to reduce downtime and unscheduled events, facilitate equipment operation to specification, improve speed to change and improve financial stability.
