SOUTH Australian engineering company, CammsProcess Control , recently delivered a fully integrated control and automation system for wine producer Yalumba’s new Moppa winery.
Located in the Barossa Valley, the Moppa winery was operational in time for the company’s 2005 vintage thanks to a focused and collaborative team approach involving Yalumba, Camms and Rockell Automation Australia .
The project was fast-tracked over a period of six months, during which Camms - a Rockwell Automation referred system integrator - was responsible for total electrical design, integration and commissioning across the winery site. The control system architecture is founded on Rockwell Automation’s Integrated Architecture incorporating multiple Allen-Bradley ControlLogix programmable automation controllers (PACs), Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives and RSView Enterprise runtime software. Camms also integrated an energy-efficient refrigeration control system to maximise compressor activity in the cooling process.
