Ideal for machine-level applications, the new range of Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M AC variable-speed drives indicates the next generation of low-power and compact motor control.
The PowerFlex 4M has been specially designed for quick and easy panel installation and programming.
The PowerFlex 4M is mainly useful for retrofit projects and OEMs, where simple volts-per-hertz speed control is required for applications such as food processing and packaging, machine tools, pumps and palletising.
With power ratings from 0.2 to 11kW and voltage classes of 120, 240 and 480v, the PowerFlex 4M is available in three compact frame sizes-such as 72mm x 174mm x 136mm.
All models feature feed-through top and bottom wiring to allow easy change out with contactors when retrofitting, eliminating the need for panel re-wiring.
In addition, the two smaller frame sizes offer simple DIN-rail mounting for speedy installation without the need for drilling.
All three frame sizes feature zero stacking, which saves panel space by eliminating the space between drives in applications with ambient temperatures up to 40º Celsius.
The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M drives are simple to install and operate in their micro drive class.
For ease of information sharing and setup, integral RS485 communications enable the drives to be used for simple network applications.
Users can easily program, monitor and control the PowerFlex 4M drives with DriveExplorer and DriveTools SP software.
Alternatively, an IP66-rated remote or IP20-rated handheld LCD keypad provides additional programming flexibility.
